About Me

After discovering a passion for dance in 2010, I’ve seen as much of it in New York as possible. Some of my favorite choreographers include George Balanchine, Mark Morris, Merce Cunningham, and Paul Taylor. I write everything you see on this blog, and I’m also the dance editor of The Brooklyn Rail.

I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and graduated in 2007 from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. My first job was as an online editor for Details magazine. I’m now the online communications manager for Henry Street Settlement, a nonprofit social services, arts, and healthcare agency on Lower East Side that includes the Abrons Arts Center. I live in the East Village with Oscar, my Boston terrier.
